Meet our Pastor
My name is Caitlyn Nesbit. I have been the Pastor at Palos United Methodist Church since July 2021. Before this, I served as an Associate Pastor at Faith UMC in Orland Park since graduating from Garrett Evangelical Seminary in 2015. I was ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 2020.
My husband Nate and I have been married for just under two years. I was raised in the First UMC of Morris. Nate is a priest’s kid who grew up in the St. Charles Episcopal Church. We love to be outdoors, travel, and our dog Arrie. During my time outside the church I enjoy running, knitting, crocheting, reality TV, and training our dog.
One of the sparks that ignited my call into ministry was from a pastor I had growing up who would bring a newspaper to Sunday School, then relate what was happening in the world around us to lessons in the Bible. This passion to connect current events and culture to the lessons that we learn in the Gospels has continued to grow throughout my time in ministry.
